Vietnam Travel – Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park

Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park is located in the Gulf of Thailand. The entire park is located in a bay surrounded by relatively small islands’ inlet. The park is made up of several islands in total, and most of this area is mainly ocean front. Out of all the islands the park covers, just over 52 kilometers or so is made up of actual land in the large random arrangement of islands located here.

 

This natural park has many interesting attractions to see including: coral reefs, marine life, people and turtle nesting areas. There are also caves and other features that make this park unique. Most of the wildlife that can be found in Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park are found on its islands. Of the large number of islands located here, the two closest islands to the center of the park are referred to as Nathon and Poopo. These two islands contain populations of marine life and have been home to a variety of sea animals like: sharks, rays, turtles, octopus, mantis shrimp, squids, sharks, eels, fish and whales among many others.

 

Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park is home to unique and exotic species of marine life. Over two hundred and fifty islands make up this unique island reserve, which is also one of the most popular tourist attractions in all of Thailand. Some of the more popular parks in the province that home this national park are: Ang Tao, Nathon, Phu Phae and Haad Salad.
